Overlays#
The UV Flow add-on provides helpful overlays to enhance your workflow while unwrapping.
Seams#
You can customize the appearance of seams in the following ways:
Seam Color: Control the color of your seams for better visibility.
Solidify: Temporarily applies a non-destructive geometry node effect while the tool is active, displaying seams as solid curves. The thickness is based on the size of the mesh and can be fine-tuned with the Size setting.
Brightness: Adjusts the brightness of the solidified seams. While increasing brightness may not significantly affect the solid view, it can make seams glow in material preview and rendered view.
Checker Texture#
The Checker Texture options allow you to quickly apply a texture that shows the quality of your UVs. You can choose from the default Blender grids or custom textures.
If you enable the checker texture in the Cut UV tool settings, it will be applied whenever you enter the tool and removed whenever you exit the tool.
If you want the checker texture to be visible even when not using the tool, enable it for selected objects in Object Mode via the UV Flow section of the Object menu.
Enabling a checker texture using either method while Blender’s solid mode color is not set to Texture will make the selected objects textured while keeping the rest untextured, maintaining a clean viewport. This is achieved by setting all other objects’ viewport display property to Solid. UV Flow will revert this change once no checker textures are enabled in the scene.
